Accounting clerk

Send CV directly to the advertiser: resort accounting clerk Northern Drakensberg, KZN Salary R13.5K – R14.5K Lives in A Resort is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk. Essential to have experience in Payroll and Pastel. Must have hospitality experience within finance. The accounting clerk would be responsible for providing complete, reliable and accurate financial information within the timeframes and ensuring compliance with the month-end calendar and year-end planning within the property. Key areas:  Prepare salary entries and submit monthly payroll information to General Manager for approval.  Help finalize the month-end balance sheet and month-end packages: management report and TV package.  Elaboration and update of pie with Supplier Invoices, Bank Movements, Payments, Depreciation Journal, Advances, Provisions, Accruals.  Submit all VAT, FIU, PAYE, ROE and EMP501 legal returns to SARS and other statutory bodies.  Provide guidance and support with monthly forecast and cash flow.  Help with the monthly balance and reconciliation of suppliers.  Assist with monthly stock takings, maintain stock files at Pastel  Maintain rental pool distribution and assist owners with additional yarn queries  Maintain and control cash book function.  Ensure an adequate purchasing system from the placement of orders, to the receipt, disbursement and consumption of items in stock.  HR Functions: Filing, Weekly Salary/Monthly Salary Capture, Leave Management: Annual, Sick, Study, and Family Responsibility. Provide weekly cash flow support and approved payment load.  Help complete annual budgets. Experience required:  Grade 12  Financial Accounting qualification would be an added advantage.  Exposure to hospitality would be an added bonus.  Knowledge of computer software in the Microsoft Office suite would be an advantage.  Previous knowledge of Sage Pastel and Opera would be beneficial.  Confidential and professional at all times  High level of integrity Please request a full CV, written references and a recent photo from donna@whatnextrecruitment.co.za
