Send CV directly to the advertiser: Quality Technician Port Elizabeth • Develop, implement, monitor and maintain measurement systems for all internal and external customers regarding Series and part measurements. • Analyze, initiate, coordinate and implement corrective actions to qualify discrepancies reported to the department in order to ensure timely and efficient service to customers within the parameters of acceptable quality standards. • Maintenance of measurement equipment to ensure that international standards are met. • Assist, train, and supervise trainees, junior technicians, and new hires to develop a strong team of metrology technicians that will deliver world-class measurement service. • Prepare and supply measurement data and SPC for management decisions and evaluation. • Dimensional calibration of the company’s accessories, gauges, measurement and torque testing instruments and maintenance of their history to ensure their accuracy throughout their useful life to cover vehicle and component quality in accordance with ISO17025. • National Diploma/ NN Diploma in Mechanical Engineering • Commercial test certificate tool builder • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience within the automotive environment • At least 2 years of working experience with parts, assembly alignment, configuration and dimensional evaluation • Good understanding of communication between measurement facilities and software • Programming and execution of CMM programs for series measurement • Good understanding of CMM probe setup and probe qualification • Good presentation and report writing skills • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision • Ability to make decisions and be able to prioritize • Computer skills (Microsoft Office and CAD) • Good analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem solving Email tash@mpc.co.za
