Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality work experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative. About the YES Initiative: The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and the Department of Labor to collectively design a national plan to build economic pathways for South African youth by creating job opportunities for young South Africans over a period of 12 months. Position: General Assistant Location: Dubai Tradeport, Durban Stipend: R4020.00 Homework: • Read work orders, collect tickets, routings, schedules, material labels, part drawings, and inspection data records • Assist production staff with setup and changeover of machinery by gathering and preparing tools and materials required by work order, removal and cleaning of tools • Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install and maintain equipment under the guidance of the supervisor or lead • Ensure that assigned work areas are always clean and in a good state of cleanliness. • Take appropriate measures to ensure that all products are completed to production, quality and technique. • Keep the lead machinist or supervisor informed of critical issues that could affect the production schedule Requirements: • Grade 12 • Any manufacturing or design qualifications would serve as an advantage • Be between 18 and 34 years old • Must not have participated in the YES Program • Must be medically fit • Attention to details • Willingness to learn • Send CV by email to: yes@signa.co.za and indicate DBN 2022 as a reference. • Applicants must reside in and around Tongaat, Kwa-Mashu, Phoenix. • Closing date: September 02, 2022
