Qualifications/Requirements:
• University degree in Human Resource Management, business administration, management or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Office Management, Procurement, Administration
• Experience supervising staff and project operations
• Knowledge of labor laws, government regulations, and legal codes and precedents
• Fluency in written and oral English and Xhosa is essential
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
• Excellent interpersonal, listening skills and collaborative management style
• Proven ability to identify and develop processes and procedures when necessary
• Ability to undertake limited travel within the province, as needed
Key Performance Areas:
• Manage office set-up and daily operations
– Develop and implement administrative workflows, procedures and standard quality controls.
– Manage company office rental in Mthatha and maintain office management systems
– Purchase of office equipment and furniture and maintenance of stock inventory.
– Supervise the maintenance of office equipment.
– Supervise the cleaning, maintenance and repair of office facilities.
– Supervise contractors in the installation and configuration of computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
– Ensure that the contractor monitors, maintains and updates computer systems and networks, as well as provides responses to support systems in a timely manner to service problems and user requests.
Human Resources:
– Coordinate the recruitment, selection and orientation of new staff with the support of the Team Leader
– Prepare advertisements and employment contracts.
– Support the team leader to administer compensation, performance management and benefit programs.
– Manage and maintain health insurance benefits/policies and personnel related records
– Keep abreast of labor legislation and manage relationships with employees.
• Provide logistical and administrative support:
– Support the technical staff of the project in the management of workflow and logistics.
– Coordinate the organization of travel and accommodation for staff and consultants.
– Facilitate visas and work permits for staff and consultants
– Provide logistical support for events, conferences, and workshops, including arranging refreshments and venues and maintaining the meeting schedule.
