Sales Rep

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Heavy Duty Electrical Experience Required) Location – Alberton The purpose of this role is to actively seek out and attract potential customers. Provide solutions to clients to drive revenue growth. The key tasks and responsibilities for this position are: • Maintain sales and support to existing customers • Call and track industry wholesalers, switch panel builders, system integrators, hardware and any (DIY) resellers • Compile a complete and accurate database on customers and their relationships/influences • Generate growth of the assigned and new customer base in power quality products and solutions • Prepare client proposals, reports and quotes • Prepare and deliver trainings/presentations to clients • Conduct customer specific training and exhibits if required • Update customer base on product updates and new products. • Prepare and report on sales in your area • Attend key project or client meetings • Report on the activities of the competition in the area • Compile monthly sales reviews and forecasts • Help technical and engineering staff with projects and studies • Perform other duties as directed by the Sales Manager The key educational requirements and experience for this position would be: • A valid Grade 12 certificate is ESSENTIAL • Post-registration technical qualification would be an ADVANTAGE • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Electrical Sales • Strong market sales history and knowledge of the South African market • Valid driver’s license is ESSENTIAL • Computer skills: Preference will be given to users with strong knowledge of K8 The desired skills and competencies required for this position, among others, would be: • Ability to present capital energy saving spending schemes to potential clients • Proactive and motivated to seek new business and meet or exceed targets, deep understanding of the market and end customers, with a specific focus on ensuring sustainable and profitable revenue • Business skills; a goal-driven entrepreneurial spirit • Strategic thinking; ability to translate strategies into goals and projects for implementation • Project management skills; ability to analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, train and support business systems • Personal presentation; ability to maintain a professional, confident and well-groomed appearance • Representation of the company; ability to maintain full knowledge of organizational structure, present accurate information • Time management skills; ability to manage your own time and that of a team and be able to work in a fast-paced environment • Stress tolerance; Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Practical approach with clients and ability to interpret and recommend the most appropriate solutions • Problem solving skills; ability to listen, understand and solve operational problems • Critical thinking; ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems • Attention to details; be careful with details and thorough when completing work tasks • Trustworthy; be trustworthy, responsible and comply with obligations • Cooperative attitude; be nice to others at work • Ability to work independently in a team and under pressure with minimal supervision • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external clients Applications: info@nateboconsulting.co.za
