Requirements: Candidate must have completed a trade test as a Mechanical Fitter or Installer and Turner and have at least three (3) years of work experience as a fitter after taking the trade test. The experience must include, but is not limited to, the following: Installation, review, assembly and maintenance of different types of pumps. Installation and maintenance of conveyor systems. Installation of transmission systems by belts and gears. Installation, service and maintenance of generators. Basic understanding of solar pump installations and systems. use of MS office computing Valid driver’s license Responsibilities: Maintenance of water and sewage plant reticulation networks, mechanical equipment/process facilities and other related electromechanical systems (such as pumps, pipes, conveyors – endless/belts, fans, valves, transmitters, etc.) Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and Periodic team work Overhaul, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment and systems Assemble, install and commission mechanical sub-assemblies Machine and fabricate simple components, work pieces using power tools and machinery Ensure and enforce legal requirements including, but not limited , Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspections Maintain an effective and efficient maintenance program for areas of responsibility and regular production of condition reports Provide ongoing support within/outside the department and work with others in a team environment Provide training on the work to work Commercial and General Workers Workers.
