CLINICAL OR COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGIST POSITION AVAILABLE AT WHITE RIVER MANOR, Mpumalanga. ABSTRACT: White River Manor is seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist or Counselor to join its dynamic, multi-disciplinary team. Applicant must work full time. The successful applicant will contribute to and coordinate all mental health related activities to ensure quality care and support for clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: � Provide high-quality therapeutic programs and interventions to clients with clear and achievable therapeutic goals. � Conduct daily therapy sessions with clients. � Conduct group therapy sessions with clients weekly as required by White River Manor. � Individual case management and individual therapy. � Conduct individual assessments and client-centered interventions. � Comply with the administrative obligations required by White River Manor and HPPCSA. � Work as a fully integrated member of the multidisciplinary team. � Attend weekly multidisciplinary meetings and provide feedback to the team on the progress and treatment of patients. � Take oversight and participate in regular training to ensure best practices. � Make sure CPD requirements are met. � Carry out administrative tasks for clients and the company as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the therapeutic program. � Write reports and case management letters for clients and referring psychiatrists and/or psychologists. � Evaluate the patient’s progress and modify treatment schedules accordingly. � Communicate, organize family sessions, and counsel family members as appropriate. � Document therapy in accordance with White River Manor policies and procedures. � Implement and adhere to policies that ensure patient confidentiality. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: � Professional registration in HPPCSA as a Clinical or Counseling Psychologist. � Experience with substance abuse will be an added bonus. � Knowledge and experience with DBT would be advantageous. � Experience in psychiatric care or in a facility would be an advantage.
