About the job:

CSIR has an opening for two Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Specialists in the Future Production and Robotics Center group within the Manufacturing group. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating, configuring and adapting PLM systems, as well as system administration.

About the group:

Currently the group focuses on intelligent manufacturing projects, implementation of PLM systems and their adaptations, Manufacturing Automation, Robotics and Vision Systems. Products and impact are achieved through industry support and innovative products delivered to market

Key Responsibilities:

Execute projects and deliver results within budget and on time; Interact with peers within fields of expertise both inside and outside the CSIR; Interact with clients (internal and external) and develop long-term relationships; Communicate effectively and motivate the team; Work in a multidisciplinary environment with clients, engineers, scientists, project managers and technicians; Train staff in PLM; Support PLM users throughout the CSIR; Support customers with PLM implementations. Qualifications, skills and experience: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant engineering degree with at least three years of experience in the applied research environment or in industry;

Experience in the following will be required:

Configuration of PLM systems for product development and manufacturing; PLM security configuration; Configuration of engineering change control workflows; Support and maintenance of PLM systems; Manage the various integrations of PLM systems; Maintain licenses and manage license servers; Cloud-based technologies and applications related to PLM; Experience with Siemens PLM software would be an advantage, Good presentation, research and report writing skills. Good computer literacy; High level of conceptualization and analytical skills; Guidance for problem solving and finding solutions; Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills; A goal-oriented approach; Ability to work both independently and in a team.
