MUNICIPALITY OF UBUHLEBEZWE VACANCIES CLOSING DATE: May 06, 2022 no later than 4:00 p.m. HEAD OF RISK MANAGEMENT AND COMPLIANCE SALARY SCALE: R269 270.56 – R349 713.00 per year (T11) APPLICABLE BENEFITS: Medical Assistance, Pension, Check 13, Owner’s Allowance MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Certificate of Grade 12. • An NQF Level 7 qualification in Commerce or a BCom with a Bachelor of Laws. • 2 years verified experience in a Compliance environment. • Understanding of the Law of Municipal Finance Management, Law of Municipal Systems, National Law of Environmental Management and Laws of Land Management and Land Management. • A valid driver’s license. • Experience in the municipal sphere will be valued. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Develop and implement an effective compliance program. • Develop robust compliance controls and monitor compliance with them. • Monitor compliance with municipal regulations and other compliance matters throughout the municipality. • Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risks. • Develop and maintain municipal records of compliance. • Assist the Management in the identification, classification and description of the main risks that will negatively affect the municipal strategic objectives. • Implement risk management activities within the municipality that involve the identification, evaluation, monitoring of real and/or potential risks. • Compile and issue quarterly risk management and compliance reports to the Risk Management Committee. ASSET MANAGEMENT CLERK SALARY SCALE: R132 243.57-R171 667.63 (T6) APPLICABLE BENEFITS: Medical assistance, pension, check 13, housing subsidy MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • 12th grade certificate • Bachelor of Accounting/National Diploma in Accounting • 2 years local government finance experience, preference will be given to candidates with asset management experience • Ability to communicate in both isiZulu and English • A valid driver’s license KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Monitor, enter and track all municipal assets. • Monitor all activity accounts of the municipality, ensuring that the accounts are spent properly and are not overdrawn. • Process, digitize and distribute reports for reimbursement of capital funds. • Respond to other accounting needs for activities and budget funds as required. • Perform any other function assigned by the supervisor.
