The right candidate will work on small to medium sized squid fishing boats. Duties and responsibilities: The position will report directly to the employer. Duties will include but are not limited to: fishing, supervising fish packing, all engineering related checks and duties (e.g. ensuring spare parts such as fan belts and oils in engine room), general repairs including electrical checks aboard the entire ship. , keep the engine room clean and tidy, monitor fuel and fresh water levels, as well as any other legal instructions issued by the Employer. Minimum requirements: Must be SAMSA certified Able to fish and be in charge of equipment. You must be technically minded and come from a technical background. multitasking ability Candidate must be able to follow Skipper’s orders The remuneration package will be discussed with the shortlisted candidates.
