Job Title: Mathematical Literacy – NC (V) (Temp) REF NUMBER: DOBS/TM/2022 Minimum requirements: A recognized 3-year degree/diploma masters qualification specializing in the particular field of study, in-depth knowledge of the subject. Registration with SACE (South African Council of Educators) will be an added bonus. Excellent communication in English (written and verbal), organization, planning and administration skills. Ability to monitor student performance and provide critical feedback in an objective and professional manner. Duties and responsibilities: Facilitate the overall academic and professional development of students. Prepare lesson plans and lecturers in accordance with the Faculty’s Annual Academic Plan, the Campus schedule, and the Faculty’s Quality Management System. Assess students, maintain assessment records, and capture marks electronically in accordance with university policies and procedures. Create a conducive environment in the classroom and ensure efficient classroom management and student discipline. Inform the Professor and serve as a link with the Student Support Officers to provide support interventions to students. Distribute textbooks and student packets to students and maintain necessary records. Manage and track student attendance, and arrange job placement and field trips for students. NB!
