Human Resources Intern – Randburg
Key Responsibilities
Implementation and monitoring of the talent strategy within the business unit.
• Execute with end-to-end recruitment of key roles within the business
• Implement and monitor Reward strategies effectively in terms of advice and guidance to line managers.
• Coordinate and facilitate successful transformation initiatives and behavior change programs.
• Evolve and coordinate the implementation and execution of the People agenda.
• Support with the facilitation of change management interventions.
• Execute and manage sound recruitment and selection practices.
• Ensure that effective performance management practices are maintained.
• Maintain effectiveness in the participation and management of the Talent Review and Career Development process.
• Provision of advisory services in relation to practices, policies and procedures related to human resources, improving established business relationships.
• Ensuring an effective IR climate by assisting with IR incidents and management practices.
• Have the ability to communicate/consult with line managers regarding RI matters to ensure fair labor practices and positive employee morale.
• Maintain successful industrial and labor relations, CCMA experience with a track record of success.
• Implement the training strategies agreed upon to achieve the training objectives.
• Submit monthly reports of compliance with standards and hr.
• Management and compliance with all human resources policies, practices and procedures.
• Maintain effectiveness in Human Resources management practices.
• Have a clear understanding of payroll, payroll processing, and payroll related checks and balances
• Assist line managers with the management of vacation liabilities on a monthly basis. Compilation of salary budget and staff reconciliation.
• Manage and monitor human resources policies and procedures to improve the delivery of human resources services.
• Ensure all human resource related issues are resolved quickly and information is provided in a timely manner.
• Compliance with deadlines according to business requirements.
• Update human resources operating systems on a timely basis or as needed to ensure data integrity.
• Consulting and business advice in the preparation of internal hearings and external meetings.
• Implement and facilitate the performance management process.
• Generate key insights through monthly HR data analysis and highlight key trends for the Exco team
• Promote the well-being of employees
• Lead the employee engagement initiative on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Drive employee engagement with the various teams, divisions, and regions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Academic preparation:
• You must have a relevant and recognized tertiary qualification in Human Resources.
• Must have at least 5 years of human resources generalist experience.
• Solid knowledge of human resources practices and procedures.
• Proven track record in handling RI-related matters.
• Have computer skills, especially in MS Office Suite and payroll systems
• Have strong analytical skills and problem solving skills.
• Have the ability to work independently, accurately and well under pressure.
• Provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers and co-workers.
• Have strong stakeholder engagement/relations skills (verbal and written communication skills).
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professional behavior.
• Have experience in high pace environments and fast response time.
• Being highly organized, flexible, and adaptable in prioritizing and reprioritizing
• Have a solid understanding of Excel and PowerPoint skills.
