ROLE TITLE: Registered Nurse – NICU DIVISION: Hospital Division LOCATION: Netcare Cuyler Hospital REPORTING STRUCTURE: Unit Manager CLOSING DATE: April 25, 2022 SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS The Registered Nurse will provide and promote safe and cost-effective quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies. The incumbent will also be responsible for the direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients, for evaluating, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet the needs of patients, he is a role model in the delivery of evidence. based on care and will actively participate in Clinical Governance. EDUCATION • Must have the necessary Nursing, Dip or Bachelor of Nursing qualifications. • Currently registered with the South African Nursing Council. • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification. • The relevant qualification within the NICU will be valued. WORK EXPERIENCE • At least 3 years of experience in the ward or high experience in care. • Ability to implement and maintain health practice standards required of all accredited bodies and adequate health legislation. • NICU experience will be advantageous. • Must be prepared to be flexible in work hours/work shifts. • The ability to actively participate as a member of a team to achieve goals.
